1. Informational use
Aina Adventures provides travel stories, maps, suggested routes, AI responses, and general planning information. It is not navigation, emergency, legal, medical, weather, surf, or professional safety advice. Content can be wrong, incomplete, delayed, or out of date, and an AI guide may make mistakes.
2. Safe phone use
- The driver must not hold, look at, or operate a phone while a vehicle is moving.
- A passenger should operate the App. If traveling alone, stop and park legally before touching the device.
- Guide audio must be hands-free, at a volume that still lets you hear traffic, warnings, and emergency vehicles.
- Do not follow an App prompt if it conflicts with safe driving, the law, a sign, a barrier, or current conditions.
3. Roads and rental vehicles
Road access and conditions can change without notice. A route shown as paved or generally suitable does not guarantee that it is open, hazard-free, or allowed by your rental agreement. You are responsible for checking official HDOT, NPS, County, park, emergency-management, and rental-company guidance. Never enter a closed, private, unmaintained, four-wheel-drive-only, or residents-only road based on an App map or story.
4. Trails, parks, and private property
You are responsible for permits, reservations, admission, hours, parking, equipment, physical readiness, and legal access. Respect private property, cultural sites, residents, farmers, and closures. A marker may describe nearby history without establishing a public entrance or permission to enter. Turn around when access is unclear.
5. Ocean, weather, and natural hazards
Surf, currents, flash flooding, rockfall, wildfire, volcanic hazards, heat, fog, and storms can become dangerous quickly. Check official forecasts and alerts and follow lifeguards, rangers, and emergency officials. Never use the App as a substitute for ocean expertise, a lifeguard, current warnings, or emergency services. Call 911 for emergencies where service is available.
6. Content and source standards
We aim to use reputable public sources and distinguish public arrivals from context-only or restricted places, but we do not warrant that coordinates, narratives, hours, routes, access, or safety information are accurate, current, complete, or suitable for a particular user. Traditions and moʻolelo are identified as traditions where practicable. Report a concern to legal@manavoyage.com.
7. Businesses and partners
Partner listings, offers, and links are informational. They are not endorsements, safety certifications, or guarantees by Mana Voyage LLC, doing business as Aina Adventures. Users should independently assess providers, credentials, cancellation terms, products, and activities.
8. Responsibility and risk
You decide whether to drive, hike, enter the ocean, visit a location, or participate in an activity and assume the inherent risks of those choices. The disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification provisions in the Terms of Service apply to use of this content and the App.
9. Official sources to check
Depending on your plans, consult HDOT, the National Park Service, Hawaiʻi County, City and County of Honolulu, Maui County, Kauaʻi County, official park and emergency-management pages, the National Weather Service, and official surf or ocean-safety alerts. Conditions can change after the App was updated.
